Migration of Opentao services

Attention. Migration of Opentao services

We would like to inform you about the migration of services Opentao to the new server. This is a preventive measure to recity potential issues in the current server's disk subsystem, that our monitoring revealed. This will also improve the performance of the Opentao sites in general.

To prevent loss of data during the services migration, the Read Only mode will be switched on periodically. You can read about this mode here http://forum.opentao.net/forums/showthread.php?t=45642.

The first stage of migration has been successfully completed yesterday, 28.10.2013.

The schedule of further work is the following:

Wednesday, 30/10/2013

• Stage 2 — from 08:30 to 10:00 (UTC+4). Migration of e-shop cart service and service statistics. Read Only mode till 10-00 will be activated. Otapi can be stopped for a few minutes (to restore the database).
• Stage 3 — from 10:30 - 11:30 (UTC+4). Transfer of components from the server to the other server with the activation of Read Only mode.
• Stage 4 — 13:30 (UTC+4). Migration of Otapi and other portable facade services to the new server. Read Only mode will not be activated.

Tuesday 05.11.2013

• Reboot of the old server. During this stage, sites that were not updated with the correct Otapi URL in the configuratin may stop working. (details are here http://support.opentao.net/ru/newsletter/134).

Please note. In general there may be possible disruptions to sites from 08:30 to 11: 30 in October 30.
